LOBOS

Lobos is the meeting of Carmelo Varela and Andrew Garcia—two Latin-born directors whose visions converge in a hybrid language between documentary and fiction. Their collaboration began in the charged stillness of the pandemic, under a full moon that seemed to mark their first shared shoot.
They work with diverse materials, challenging subjects, and imperfect records. Their style privileges the fissure over the surface, the unexpected over the calculated. Editing is their zone of both conflict and strength. Where forms hesitate, Lobos persists.
